Vending, Making and getting the NERVE back:

Its been several years now since I have taken myself seriously enough to log on here;

I haven't felt up to it.

I have been tinkering away all along but with no real direction.

Last year I participated in a few local Christmas markets.  It felt good to have deadlines, and it has helped me to find some direction again.

I have been focusing on Rag Rugs exclusively for the last year and feel that I am ready to get back to wall hangings and simple wearable accessories again.  I think that vending in seasonal markets is something that i have always been working towards but have felt unprepared or too inexperienced in the past and have put barrios in my way.  I am certain that I still have a long way to go but I know now that I am ready to try again.

I hope to do three Christmas markets this year and perhaps a spring show in the new year.

Having a presence online is also something I should be better at but you can't be good at everything ;)

Ok so I didn't really do anything with this blog after the Textile program.
I need to overhaul this whole thing.
Stand by for some much needed documentation.

The Plan:

Happy New year
I have started weaving samples mostly and will document some work this weekend.
My first project for the year will be a focus on pulled warp.
I intend to experiment with pile and simple imagery as well-

wish me luck!

Plunge Right In!

So of course in typical art slob fashion I have waited until the last possible moment to start this task, thats right blogging!

I hope to become a useful and efficient blogger
I want to explore other blogs and websites and become more knowledgable in general.
I hope I can stick too it and I hope this becomes useful in the future.

First order of business start posting samples with discriptions and intentions.
Second order of business: figure out 'following' and adding links.

The mandate for this page right now is to provide a document of my explorations in weaving under the instruction of Ruth Scheuing, Mary Lou Trinkwon, and Anthia Mitchel.
